I'm looking to try some different things, mostly dinner type stuff, but desserts are fine too. So I'd like to ask anyone willing to share their favorite thing to make.

I'd prefer to keep the ingredients list somewhat cheap and easy as I'm not much of an advanced chef nor do we have a lot of grocery store options around here. But other than that, I'm pretty much open to anything you want to share.

Brown a pound of ground beef and a huge chopped onion. Pour off any fat. Season with pepper and parsley. Stir in a can of Campbell's tomato soup, a 1/4 can of milk, and a can or 2 of drained green beans. Bake at 350 till bubbling. The original recipe said bake with cornbread on top of the casserole, but the bottom of the cornbread never fully bakes due to moisture. Do the cornbread in a separate pan. This is very tasty. Two cans of beans stretches the recipe. Other seasonings to taste before baking: a bit of chili powder or oregano, or whatever. It's easy, fast to put together, and everyone likes it. Not coq au vin, mind you, but tasty!
