I can't believe I'm already 2/3rds done with this.

Kaylee Frye from Firefly
She's cute as hell, feisty, and can run a broken-down ship like a dream. I've always found her character to be so infectious with her optimism, will, and free spirit and I think it's awesome that she's a natural-born mechanic who's not afraid to get a little dirt under her fingers. The strawberry scene is still one of my favorites though - even if she's not being particularly bad-ass during it.

Which characters in your fandoms would you ship me with? It doesn't matter if you think the fandom or the character might be obscure. But I'm interested in seeing who you might ship me with.
And to continue the fun, repost this meme in your own journal so you can also find out who your friends might ship you with!
Finally, I signed up for an exercise class sponsored by the local hospital called "Slim and Sizzle." To be honest, I was expecting an aerobics-like class but instead, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it's much more yoga-inspired. Or at least...the first class was. Anyways, it was very much about finding awareness in your body and the world around you. We did a lot of stretching, a lot of deep breathing, and even had some time to just lie down on our mats and get rid of some of the tension that's built up inside of us.
I know I carry a lot of my stress in my shoulders and I'll be honest when I say it was hard to release any of it, but I think I tried and I look forward to seeing what's in store on Thursday.
The other cool piece of last night was getting there a little earlier and chatting with the instructor. My story about seeking employment as a counselor came out and she apparently knows people who work for one of the clinics in the area from past fitness classes. It was a place I had emailed but no one ever got back to me. I think the reason for that was the only email I could find was a very general one that was probably intended for clients looking to schedule appointments.
Either way, yay for potential new contacts!

on 2010-11-10 03:50 pm (UTC)I'd ship you with Luc Johnston from Tru Calling. He was down to Earth but very sweet and caring. He was a photographer that was willing to work for the police taking pictures of crime scenes to make ends meet but he was really an artist.
