I'm writing this more out of curiosity than necessity, but I figured since I threw this out there on Facebook, I can do it here too.

Tomorrow is my follow-up interview with the day treatment coordinator at the place I'm currently hoping to be employed by come the middle of January.

And so...I'm curious if any of you have particular questions that you've asked potential employers during interviews (or if you're one of those awesome folks who actually works in HR or interviews for a living, what questions do you like hearing.)

I will repeat that this is merely me being curious as I have plenty to ask. I just know that two minds are better than one (so to speak.)

As one of those awesome people (your words, not mine) who works in HR, I'd say ask relevant questions as opposed to asking for the sake of asking. If you feel most of your questions have been answered before you get to the stage of asking them, just run through the questions and reiterate what you have already been told - this way you show you are listening.

All the best of luck. When I tried to get a full time HR job I had about 17 interviews before getting there, in spite of lots of relevant-but-not-quite-right experience - you will get the right job eventually so good luck and enjoy the experience of getting there (so easy to say I know)

I certainly appreciate the advice.

Plus, I'm glad to hear from you. I hope you're doing well and that you're holiday season is being all kick-ass. :)

This is the one that involves a new program, yeah? I imagine you'd have a lot of questions about that, but maybe asking about challenges and successes of similar programs, asking about their strategic plan for the next few years and where your position would fit into the coming year's work plan... if they have one (which I hope they do!).

Mainly, just ask questions that matter to you.

Good luck! I'll be thinking of you!!
