18. Why do you love Starkid?

Because they're supermegafoxyawesomehot and totally awesome. :D

But to be more serious about this, there are lots of things that I love about Team Starkid. First, they're an incredibly skilled group of individuals who make themselves accessible to the public via free social media sites. (Woo! YouTube!) It really means a lot to me that they care so much about their fan base that they would make a point to record and upload their stage productions.

I think they have amazing ideas, amazing screeplays, and amazing songs (that get stuck in my head).

I love how they can take a huge, insanely popular beast like the Harry Potter series and transform into something that maintains (and at times, increases) love for the series while at the same time, twisting it into something that is so uniquely their own.

I love how they can get me to feel love and emotion towards pairings that might seem strange or extra quirky (Mega-girl/Tootsie Noodles, January/Bug, Voldemort/Quirrell, Ms. Cooter/Dick, etc.) I love how they can get me to laugh, and feel, and quote them incessantly.

I love how they've given me some drool-worthy crushes (Darren, Joe Walker, Brant Cox, Joey Richter, Brian Holden, Lauren Lopez, Bonnie Gruesen, etc.)

So in short, I guess I will just say that I love having Starkid in my life and I can't wait to see what they come out with next.

19. Do you call them starkid or dikrats?
While I find dikrats to be a funny name, I've always called them Starkid and I'm probably not going to change that habit anytime soon.

Moving on to RL, I got my sister to start watching Parks and Recreation!!! She actually started it before I slept over at her house last night, but we watched the last two episodes of season 1 and the first episode of season 2 together and it was fun. She also introduced me to this slightly addicting game called Word Bubbles .

This morning, I got up early and headed out with my gal pals to the Susan G. Komen walk. We checked in, got our shirts, and wandered down to the sponsor tents. We got all sorts of free stuff to take home as well as really nummy food to nibble on. For example, Panera Bread was handing out these delicious cherry vanilla biscuit things that were shaped like a ribbon and Sobe LifeWater was offering samples as well.

The 5K walk was really good, but really hot. They actually ran out of water at the first mile marker so we didn't get any. :/ Thankfully, the water stations were stocked better at mile 2 and at the finish line. Afterward, we went out for lunch at the Red Robin and I got my favorite, the Bonzai Burger. Our waitress was a little slow on the draw though. She barely came over to check on how we were doing and several waitresses had to pick up the slack (though one of them screwed up my friend's refill. Another one of our replacement waitresses was horrified when she came by with the correct drink and my friend had gone up to the bar herself because it took five minutes for the correction to be made.) As much as I hated doing it, our actual waitress did not get tipped well by anyone at our table.

Once I got back home though, I wound up having a lazy afternoon. I caught up on So You Think You Can Dance (I think I'm in love with Arielle Coker). I also finished Season 1 of 30 Rock.

Tomorrow, I have a baby shower to go too. WOO!

Catch you on the flip side, chickadees.

I'm glad you had a good time at the walk and got lots of free stuff. :)

I love the Bonzai Burger at Red Robin. I'm sorry you had such poor service, though.

Yay for lazy afternoons!

I'm particularly fond of the scarf I got from the "Warriors in Pink" booth. It has a truly beautiful pattern.
