5 –If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?

Well, my initial desire for Self-Destruct Button was not to include Kennedy at all. She's not a character I ever liked on the show and there are very few writers out there who can compel me to care about her. Still, she managed to squeeze herself right into the first two chapters and I'm glad she did. Things may not have ended well for Kennedy, but overall, I don't think Willow could have gotten to the place she's at without Kennedy being in the picture.

In other news, I hate not having AC in my apartment. Central air is something I grew up on so admittedly I'm a little spoiled. Nick, on the other hand, grew up sweltering and doesn't feel we need the "indulgence."

Stupid fiscal responsibility.

Ugh! Sorry about the A/C!

I admire you for tackling Kennedy.

I know what you mean about Kennedy. She wasn't a character that I particularly liked either. I think she was wrote in too quick as Willow's girlfriend after Tara's death. But that's just me. :)

I'm sorry about the AC. I can't stand the heat. When my central unit went out hubby had it fixed asap. Because if I don't have my 'indulgence' he doesn't get his either..(sorry for the overshare) but staying in the heat...I don't see how you're doing it.

I think they rushed the Willow/Kennedy pairing too.

Currently, we're not doing it. :P But we are managing to love each other somehow.

If Kennedy was needed then use her... there is nothing wrong with that.

I grew up sweltering, but if I can afford it and stuff I go with the air conditioner because otherwise the heat makes it hard to breathe. Right now... there is no way to put an air conditioner in the window and it wouldn't matter anyway because I'm too broke and can't afford one anyway. I'm busy saving up for something important... an apartment or a new tattoo... whichever looks like it will actually happen.

:D

Heat and humidity can definitely make it harder to breathe.

I grew up on swamp coolers. Not fun in the least, especially in the desert. Now I've got central air and don't really need it, or rather we wouldn't need it if we could get a couple of really good ceiling fans. It's a fickle thing.

We have some good ceiling fans, but when the air is hot and humid, it would be nice to have access to the AC.

It wasn't until last year that my parent's home got central air. Before then, we had just a window unit. We try to use it sparingly (same with the A/C in SC), but it is really nice to have, especially on those super hot days. In Japan, I only had an electric fan and it sucked!

Sparingly is smart.

I have never, in our hot, hot Aussie summers, considered AC an "indulgence", so I do sympathise with you.

Thanks.

Though, it's funny because last night, I stayed somewhere with AC and felt like I was going to freeze to death. I tell ya I just can't be satisfied. :P

Have you thought about putting in a window unit? Our central air went out and we had to put in a window unit to keep from killing each other and stinking 24/7.

We've considered it.
Haven't done it yet though.

I think we paid $200 for ours. You can get good ones at Walmart.
