I'm sure no one remembers this fic, but I wanted to say that I'm working hard on getting the final chapter of the story written and as of this moment, already have slightly over 1000 words written. I'm definitely feeling confident right now and hope to have this chapter ready for readers by next Monday at the latest.

I also wanted to let my readers know that I did a rewrite of the dress shop scene in Chapter 5 because the more I thought about, the more I wanted to avoid giving Fred the traits of Faith or Season 6 Dawn. I went to my parent's house for Easter weekend (Thursday night - Sunday afternoon) and as such did NOT check LJ during that time. I will do my best to catch up with the entries that I missed, but if there's ANYTHING you posted that you think I need to read, please comment to this entry with a link.

Also, I'm seriously behind on my writing. I have a 500 word fic to write for femslash_minis, which I promised the mod I'd have done by Monday or Tuesday. I also need to put more effort into the next chapter of Self-Destruct Button as a beta project and politics swallowed up a lot of my free time last week (Love you,

spiletta42!) My goal is to have that chapter finished and posted by the end of the week though as I don't want my readers to have to wait another week for an update.

I would like to apologize (again) because the next chapter of Self-Destruct Button will not be posted tomorrow.

My head has been elsewhere this week and my weekend was spent making sure that the boyfriend had the best 28th birthday I could give him.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.

Speaking of writing, 700 words written today for the next chapter of Self-Destruct Button. WOO!

First, Happy St. Patrick's Day to all my friends who celebrate. Nick and I are celebrated with a corned beef and cabbage recipe that Nick found for our slow cooker. I can tell you right now that it smells amazing!

Second, I've been volunteering for the recall Senator Luther Olsen Offices in my hometown (since I'm out of temp. work) and I'm having a blast doing it. Liz, Tyler, Margo, Paula, Pam, George, Marcie, and all the rest have been so much fun to work with. Amusingly, I started there on Tuesday, and by Wednesday, they were already nick-naming me "Data Captain" because they see me as being in charge of the data entry folks while I'm there. I honestly wish I could get paid to work there though. But right now, it's not a possibility.

Third, I've been a real slacker on the writing front lately. I'm not really sure why that is, though I suspect the events of last week have something to do with it. There's a good chance that next week's chapter of Self Destruct Button will be delayed again though. :/

Fourth, the moon meme that everyone's doing. I don't feel like it read my mind 100%, but the first sentence is certainly spot on.
