Today, I dressed up as Vanellope Von Schweetz aka "The Glitch" from Disney's Wreck-It Ralph and had an absolute blast. It was so much fun being at the office and even more fun passing out candy to the trick-or-treaters.

First, I hope all of you having a wonderful holiday, whether you celebrate Halloween or Samhain. I've certainly been enjoying myself even though Nick and I haven't done much since getting home. I did see a cartoon get brought to life though as I drove down my street and saw a man dressed as a banana dashing around the corner. He was followed promptly by a lumbering gorilla. It was priceless.

Second, I must talk about the party I attended last night/into the morning as it was a hoot.

Third, I had a surprisingly non-awkward moment with my dad today. I mentioned that Frankenhooker had been my favorite film and he said that one day he'd share his X-rated version of Pinocchio with me sometime. Instead of saying "Ew" or feeling freaked out that this was my dad, I countered by telling him about the X-rated Alice in Wonderland film I watched with Nick. Despite the fact that we were discussing perverted Disney films, it didn't phase me and I'd call that a good thing for our relationship because it means we can be more like ourselves now that I'm older.

I much prefer the option of "Whatever I Like" so I'm going to go with that.

I'm a bit sad to be finished with this meme since so many of us we're doing it and it means today's the last day we'll all be updating with our answers. That said, I already have another 30 day meme on my to-do list called: The 30 Days of Female Awesome. I think I'm going to start it in November just to keep within the month time frame.

Anyways, for those who are curious, the kitty ears went over well. I was the only who dressed up but the reactions were amusing enough. I was particularly fond of the guy who offered to draw whiskers on my face with a Sharpie (I declined) and one of the top-level guys meowed at me so that was cool.

In food news, I made a Apple Caramel Cake for the party tonight and I'm looking forward to it. I'm curious to see what weird movies are in store for me this evening. My goal is to a write-up/review type thing in honor of Halloween tomorrow.

But now I'm off to go wake up the boy.

Today I'm going with my biggest Season 6 plot wish and it's simple, really.

I want Ted to meet the mother.

If you want to hear me get a bit more complicated, I want the wedding at the end of this season to feature one Heather Mosby as the bride. When I first saw the premiere, I did originally think it could be Barney marrying someone or Robin marrying someone, but that changed as my desire to see Heather again came roaring back.

Only one more day left to go!

Today, I'm going with the majority vote from yesterday and I shall be donning my cat ears for work today. Along with a pair of black pants and my long sleeve Wicked shirt. Should be entertaining to hear the reactions. Perhaps I'll write them down or something.

This weekend, I'm going to a Halloween party. WOOT! The plan is to binge out on B horror film and horror/comedies.

I'm not really the biggest fan of any type of horror movie. That said, I imagine being surrounded by a bunch of people and watching films that don't necessarily fit into the straight horror genre will probably be useful. Plus, Nick and I are bringing Tokyo Zombie and Planet Terror. Given that I enjoyed both, I know I can survive at least three hours of the night. :P
