Snogged: An Insatiable State of Mind

The Midwest "snow-mageddon", as hisui_ryoshi so aptly put it, is currently preventing me from driving home from my parents' house.

The blowing winds, drifting snow, and cold temperatures certainly don't make me want to head out onto the roads to risk life and limb (See, I'm all about safety first.) Plus, I already took Monday off so I don't even have to go work tomorrow- because I'm going to interview for an Autism place in Madison.

(By the way,I'm way less excited about that one now that I know they can't give me the supervision hours I need, but I figure the interview experience is still worth the trip.)

Still, I can't shake the feeling that I'd rather be at home with my boy, watching the Community holiday special, with a cup of warm cocoa.

*sigh*

ETA: Things cleared up a bit so I got the go ahead from my dad to venture out. It took me about 45 minutes longer than normal to get home, but I made it and I'm safe.

First, I want to thank countessmary and spike7451 for the lovely holiday cards. I've got them sitting right on top of my TV set and they just look awesome :)

And second, my instructor let us out an hour early today so we'd avoid all the snow but so far, it doesn't seem to dangerous. I predict the heavy snowfalls they're forecasting will fall much later in the evening when I'm sleeping.

Or at least, that's what I hope for.
