Will I end up on top? You can bet on it, bet on it, bet on it. You can bet on me!
Yes...my LJ title is from High School Musical 2. I don't care if you judge me. I fully embrace my dorkiness.
Moving on...
It is absolutely chilly today. It’s currently -1*F (-18*C for my non-American friends) and our wind chill values are between -5*F and -10*F. It’s definitely one of those days where I’d rather stay inside with a warm mug of cocoa and a book, but alas I’m working for Power Packer.
Speaking of Power Packer, I totally forgot my headphones today so I don't get to listen to music. :/ I’ve also been informed that my time here is running out. The boss basically said that once I finish my massive data entry project, I’m done. I wager it will probably take me until the end of next week to finish though so at least I have a little more time to earn a paycheck.
In other news, I watched last night’s How I Met Your Mother and the Glee episode that aired after the Superbowl yesterday.
I absolutely loved HIMYM. Specifically, I give major props to Marshall Eriksen and the Minnesota clan. I thought the use of the phone-flashback structure was brilliant and I grinned when Marshall told Robin: "Manners are what separate us from those elbows-on-the-table Wisconsinites." I even loved Lily telling Marshall that the sexting would stop if he didn't admit to hating Ted and he instantly and enthusiatically called his best friend a "son of a bitch." What I liked more though was Marshall's follow-up that they shouldn't be hard on Ted once the special message came through. *squishes Marshall*
I also know that I might be in the minority, but I really like that the Ted/Zoey storyline is happening. I do feel the divorce bit was a bit rushed, but at the same time I can't forget their dance from the Natural History epsiode. *happy sigh*
Now for my Glee thoughts. I didn't...hate it. But I'm not sure I liked it either. I did enjoy the Warblers rendition of "Bills, Bills, Bills," loved seeing Puckleberry singing together - and Beiste singing along with them, loved Finn and Puck being each other's wingmen again, and loved the final mash-up. I still have issues with how cliques work at that school and the fact that the writers are rehashing plots (i.e. Cheerios being given an ultimatum between championships and Glee club, Sue doing her best to destroy Glee Club, etc.) I also hate the slushies. I felt so awful for Artie. I half-expected some sort of Carrie parody given the way it looked on screen.
*sigh*
I guess we'll see what happens tonight. I'm hoping they don't press the re-set button or anything.
Last but not least, I ordered a shirt from the Woot!Shirt Day of Reckoning two weeks ago and it came in the mail last Friday. I got the chance to wear it Sunday because I met my friend, Meg, for lunch. I loves it. :)

on 2011-02-08 05:31 pm (UTC)I'm also a Ted/Zoey fan! Agreed, though, they probably could have at least hinted divorce was more imminent a couple episodes ago... unless they did in Mermaid Theory or something. I wouldn't know, since I didn't see it. And Marshall's family was awesome! Want more of his mom, especially.
